"In late 1944, the SS had a gas chamber installed in a hut next to the crematorium. Between January and April 1945, 5,000 to 6,000 prisoners were murdered there. In 1991, following a request from the International Ravensbrück Committee, the site of the gas chamber was marked with a commemorative stone."

The commemorative stone, the inscription translates as:
Location of the gas chamber
December 1944
Spring 1945
The commemorative stone is viewable on the right edge of this photo, it sits on the
ground, on the right of the sculpture of two women that stands in front of the
"The Wall of Nations." The crematorium is building with the two chimneys
I thought it was determined in l983 that the camps in Germany were labor camps not death camps. So, what's the story this week? There were some, but not a whole lot of gassings at Ravensbrueck and Dachau?
ReplyDeleteSorry, only just saw this.
DeleteWiesenthal made that comment, he didn't say there weren't gas chambers in the camps in Germany proper, just that they weren't death or extermination camps.
Sachsenhausen, Neuenagamme, Ravensbrueck, Dachau are still claimed to have possessed gas chambers by the hoaxers.
It's funny to see that the Nazis have allegely destroyed the 'gas chambers' of the camps which were liberated by the Soviets ("the Nazis have erased all traces of their crimes" was a Soviet obsession and regular propaganda claim) but that they apparently left the 'gas chambers' of the camps which were liberated by the Brits and Americans intact. Different countries, different propaganda, different mythology...
ReplyDeleteThe only exception is the alleged 'gas chamber' of Sachsenhausen: we are supposed to believe that the Soviets had a real nazi gas chamber in their hands (the only undestroyed nazi 'gas chamber' in Soviet hands!) and destroyed it themselves in the 50's. :-O
